In this guided meditation we utilise the ancient Hawaiian healing technique of Ho’oponopono. It is a practice that does not require much instruction, it can be done anywhere at any time, on your own or by listening to a guided recording.  Ho’oponopono is a powerful way of cleansing those thoughts and beliefs that are holding us in a negative state of mind.

Each of us endures many situations and experiences throughout our day-to-day life that can be the cause of stress and anxiety, something that many of us have learned to just live with. But have we thought about the long-term impact of anxiety and stress?

5 minute meditation for anxiety

Our 5 minute meditation for anxiety can help manage anxiety naturally.

Anxiety and stress have an enormous impact on our physical body. When we experience stress, our body goes into what is called “fight or flight” mode. Two hormones are released: adrenaline, which causes our heart rate, blood pressure and our energy levels to rise, ultimately causing exhaustion; and cortisol, which increases the sugars in our bloodstream which has an impact on our immune system, digestive system, reproductive system and often causing aches and pains in our joints.

There are many things we can do to help manage our anxiety and stress levels including fresh air and exercise, eating healthy food, taking regular time out in our day to do what we really love, establishing a good sleep pattern and of course, meditation. During our workday we may not be able to set aside long periods of time for meditation, so this quick 5-minute reset is being offered as a way that we can bring our whole being back into balance anywhere, at any time.

Please sit back, relax and relieve anxiety and stress in this 5 minute meditation for anxiety.

What You’ll Experience in this Ho’oponopono Meditation for Anxiety

This guided meditation opens in stillness, inviting you to settle into a comfortable position and let your breath slow naturally. As anxiety begins to release its grip, you are guided through a continuous, rhythmic repetition of the four core Ho'oponopono phrases:

"I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you."

Over five minutes, the mantra cycles continuously, allowing your nervous system to settle into a quieter, more grounded state. There is nothing to do but listen, breathe, and let the words do their work.

This is a particularly effective practice for anxiety because it bypasses the analytical mind entirely — you don't need to understand Ho'oponopono deeply for it to work. The simple act of repeating phrases of forgiveness, love, and gratitude interrupts the mental loops that keep anxiety alive.
